Man, some of those prices are terrible. AMD will have no reason to drop their prices. But maybe Intel's F CPUs will be very competitive. The 11600 for €250 is €50 cheaper than 5600X and the 11700F is competitively priced against the 5800X.

With these prices they are practically telling people to go buy AMD especially with AMD's Zen 4 platform coming only maybe 6 months after Rocketlake launches Intel look to be in hot water.

They do sadly. They still dominate the business segment with servers. Consumer revenue is far less than what they bring in on the data center side of things. I think they still have 80% or more of that market. I honestly think that is why they try to get away with their over priced failures, because their money comes from elsewhere.

I was pretty excited about the 11th gen Intel, but it looks like they stick to their guns with marginally better gaming performance and also demand a premium price. So now both 11th gen Intel and Zen 3 are a poor deal.

i think the same, i really wanted to move on from my 7700k but these prices are just not worth it for a 10% bump

I think they do care. It's not just the top-end executives; there are big heads down the chain that oversea the desktop CPU sector that don't want to see their line bleeding money. Imagine the report at the end of the year you have to write.

"Yeah, so, we did OK. Emmm... we had a choice between selling a lot of CPUs at a loss or a small amount of CPUs at a profit... we decided to go with less CPUs. We made a bit of money... Emmm... Yeah... I'll fax you the details..."

Obviously that's not gonna happen, but it's how my brain imagines things.
