Intel's problem on the CPU side was pride, they should have backported a post 10nm architecture to 14nm, to at least say that they are making architectural advancements.

Well it kinda is man. If I sold biscuits and was well known for it, then started researching candy and my biscuit prices went up because of it it would be relevant I suppose :D

Fact is Intel spend far too much money. On fines, for breaking the rules, back handers (Dell any one?) and so on. And it is all relevant to what it cost us, the end consumers, at retail.
