This is impressive but they just need to continue working on their drivers.

Big steps forward. The good thing is that Intel is working with a lot more developers now on their drivers. Much more than they had been. Honestly, I'd love to try one of these new laptops out.

If I ever do get the chance, I will definately play some older gamers to see how well legacy games perform. New hardware needs to be able to play the oldies.

I must be missing something. Why did intel compare their new iGPU with AMD's 2024 890m model. Why not the 2025 8060s that performs twice as good? Not to mention the intel chip running 2x upscaling and severe frame gen. I don't see how this is good at all?

The 73% is when using the same upscaling levels. Intel claims to be 78% faster when both are using native resolutions. As for the 890M, the 2025 version isn't available yet for testing. As for the 8060S, it's a different class of product. Why would Intel compare itself to a product that aims at a completely different price bracket?

Awkward by me, I pulled out the wrong number. Intel stated up to 82% better performance over the hx370 (890M).

You're right. Was a bad assumption by me to think intel ran upscaling on the amd comparison shart. Mixed it up with the intel older gen comparison shart.

Is there a new 2025 version of the 890m coming? Is that what intel compared to? They just said HX370 in the presentation so I assumed it's the 2024 version of the CPU.

I Haven't been able to find what price range the b390 chips will end up at, do you know? The 8060s prices are inflated due to lack of competition and the 18A archetecture proves terrible yields due to the new manufacturing processes so can still end up very pricey.
