Intel Kaby Lake i3 7350K Review

Only thing missing from the graphs is the 2500k and the 2600k, obviously Intel pay not to show them beating everything

The pricing is everything.

They carefully made it as expensive as they can get away with.

I find that incredibly offensive.

They also dont beat everything, and if Intel paid for stuff like that I wouldnt need to work my rear end off the way I do.

I am going to copy my comment from YT in here:

Why do you say this i3 "is a very good gaming processor", when you haven't even tested CPU heavy titles, such as GTA V, ARMA 3 or Battlefield 1 (very demanding in multiplayer). It does hold up well in your benchmarks, for a dual core and it may excel in some single threaded games, like Starcraft 2 or CSGO (for those its perfect). But I am sure this CPU wouldn't look good in the CPU heavy games I mentioned, especially for the money.

This is my first post, hey guys! Great channel, long time viewer!
I ran GTA V Online with a G3258 & 2x GTX950s and it ran at 60fps all day long, as for ARMA not a chance, it requires an i7 for a comfortable experience as is reflected with the requirements for it. 2 cores with 4 threads will run pretty much any game these days but there are always going to be some exceptions ARMA and almost all Simulators included.

As for Battlefield 1, you can run it at 1080p on ultra with a G4560 and a GTX1060 so I don't see it being a problem for the i3.

My G3258 was useless for GTAV. I had mine with a Titan Black too. It ran fine for a few moments then it would just stutter. Annoying !

The chip I had was an absolute legend and blew my mind, it overclocked straight to 4.8Ghz like a dream and ran pretty much everything I threw at it.. truly a fantastic little delight from Intel.

Ok, the point why I wrote that was because I saw a video from Bitwit (the other guy from Pauls Hardware), where the i3 didn't hold 60 fps in GTA V, overclocked.

And on another note, maybe I am an enthusiast, but 60 FPS is the bare minimum for me, as I have a 120 Hz monitor.

Overall it can't really justify its price tag, as you will be better of, with a non-k i5, for the same amount (you also won't need a good cooling solution). Or for example, I bought a used i5, Haswell, for like 100 Euros.
