Intel i7 8700K bins have improved since January despite the i7 8086K's release

8700K's are definitely good lately, I built 2 rigs for clients recently both with 8700K's and both easily did 5GHz with 1.30v and 1.33v where as mine needs 1.35v for 5GHz stable, Still within safe limits though.

I'm confused, you build Rigs for your gym clients? Your gym is the most mystical and unusual one I have ever encountered. :D Trying to place a professional trainer talking about PCs with his clients. Just can't see it.

There are as of right now only 2 other people that work in my gym that also build rigs and game and my gym employs maybe 20+ people right now and when you train dozens of people per week it's not uncommon to come across people who like to game, I have introduced several people to PC gaming and helped several people build rigs, Recommended specs etc.... It's nothing special really.

I'm a lawyer and I like to build pc's for a hobby... :/
Only thing I regret is not having "building rigs" as my 1st job..

Are you assuming the Lottery is a person????

It's just an expression for binned chips. If they don't clock well then they still get sold. The ones that "win the lottery" usually get sold at a higher price to some places who will pre overclock them.

Yeah I could see this coming :) It's like when AMD were binning for Centurions. All of a sudden you are easily hitting 5ghz with a 8320.
