I was hoping they'd be going after 4080 tier performance with Battlemage.

a picture speaks a 1000 words.
and all have their angle. the bulk of the user base buys at the best bang for buck. basically.
top tier is nice, but most dont buy a ferrari/or whatever. not my opinion. it's simply the data.

Point is 4080 performance for their top end GPU, 700 series I'm guessing, Should be doable considering it will be 1 gen behind Nvidia.

the most popular "price point" for consumers is the 3060-4060 range. that is the data.
the 5080 is rumoured to be 1.1X a 4090...
