Intel i7 7700k Kaby Lake CPU benchmarks leak

I thought someone also leaked a post where there was literally 0 gain from kaby over current gen. Or am I getting these leaked documents mixed up?

Right now it looks like there are no performance improvements per clock, ie a 4GHz Kaby lake will perform almost identically to a 4GHz Skylake.

The change this gen is that Intel have bumped up the clocks, which hopefully means that high overclocks will be more common.

Aha then I am not going insane :)

LOL every time Intel release a new CPU they show it running super high frequencies. Then you get it and it's crap. Would love to know how they fixed that....

People in general couldn't care less about stats people are just going to buy what they like that happens to be intel.

It's only the nerds only care about stats not the normal users couldn't care less.

I am going from AMD 9590 at 5GHz to i7-6850, and I expect things to speed up alot. Life is more than GHz :)

Also quite happy to see the new gen is not worth waiting for
In all honesty you'd get a huge performance gain by simply going i5 Haswell over the 9590.

Wow, The Physics score is only 2k off a 5930K

That's a 3930K if my bad eyes see clearly through that blurryness.

I keep liking my good old 4770K more and more seeing that there seems to be not THAT big of an imrovement even over such an old gen. For me the only reason to buy the 7th generation is the 4K support on Netflix, which is... a really bad reason to be polite...

I would imagine that's a stock 3930k too. My 3970x (same chip just better BIN) used to score 1250 or so when clocked to 4.7ghz+ (not easy on a 3930k).

I hardly gained anything going from my 3970x to the 5820k really.

3930K ? where does it say that in the article ?

*EDIT*

Nevermind, Just saw the pics, Took an age to load for me ^_^

I would still buy this over AMD, even with 0% gain ;)

You are wrong. There is +10-20% ''gain'' in power consumption, if the benches from similar website are true. It's more preferable to buy this instead of helping the competition grow healthy. Giving money to apple for nothing new is great. Apologies I meant intel. Rolf

Failfish it was a joke.
