Do these Pentium E6000 CPU's have particularly low FSB walls? I ask as the whole purpose of the AMD Black Edition series is that people are able to overclock Phenom II's with ease as reaching high Base HTT Frequencies are hit and miss even amongst the higher end boards, especially when a given motherboard is unable to cope with a high overall Northbridge Frequency. Compared to the AMD scenario, it's quite doable to find affordable Intel based boards that will reach 400FSB+ with a Dual Core. Fair move by Intel and it certainly makes overclocking easier but for the every day user, I don't expect considerable gains compared to FSB overclocking.
On the other hand, £55 is an excellent price for the CPU and in my books would make it a superior buy for the overclocker compared to the equally priced Athlon II X2 245/250 CPU's and may even give the Phenom II X2 550BE a run for it's money. For the record, despite my reservations I too will most likely try one out for the sake of it.
