Intel faces "Challenging period" as leaked docs claim AMD's "a formidable competitor"

so internally they agree AMD is great again

to the public they lie and do everything to throw a shade on the competition ("glued together").

typical intel. nothing changed in that company.

for years intel dragged their feet and gave us overpriced pico-updates.
now that the pants are down and everyone sees it, they will sure try a shady marketing campaign again.
maybe even press OEMs to not use AMD, as they have in the past.

i hope at least the european union has a close look at intel and it´s buiness practices.

Companies aren't hive minds to be fair, some people are paid to work out what's actually happening in the market, and some other people are paid solely to make sure whatever happens the messaging is positive for Intel. The disconnect between engineers, analysts and marketing has always been a gulf when it comes to Intel(& Microsoft though they've made solid strides this decade), although it's almost logistically impossible for public companies of that size to operate efficiently.

It's interesting that Intel don't blame them falling behind on their lack of technical capability, but more on their past management and company culture.
Hopefully this means they are now knuckling down, and will come out swinging in the next few years.

AMD have the same problem too. "Poor Volta." RTG has lived in a bubble at times. They release products that are aimed at AMD enthusiasts only, seemingly ignorant to what their only competitor is up to.

To be fair, Volta never went anywhere. Poor Volta never made it into consumer hardware.

Yep any publicly-operated company has this problem to a degree but it gets far more severe as they grow and the company has to become more segmented to stay manageable, and it starts to become quite obvious with tech much quicker, which I'd guess is why the smaller companies generally seem to have better PR(Probably also worth remembering as a whole NVidia has generally been a smaller company than AMD and RTG only recently with Lisa Su got properly segmented again). But AMDs marketing budget in general was barely existent during that period, which I'd guess is why they mostly seem to stuck to meme-y tongue-in cheek jibes like that Volta advertising.
