Hi Guys,

So with the E5 v2 launched, I was curious.

What do we all think is the best CPU for CAD/3D modelling/Rendering etc?

* E5-2687W
* E5-2690
* E5-2687W v2
* E5-2697 v2

From the v1 and based on TTLs comparison we know the E5-2687W is better, especially in dual setup. But am curious how the E5-2687E would compare to the 2687W v2 and 2697 v2.

For example the 2687W v2 has higher clock speeds, but is this counteracted by the fact the 2697 v2 has more cores?

Opinions and thoughts welcome.

Ive just got a pair of the 2697 V2's in for a play..... If its heavy cad word etc then the core will fucking rape the older gen :p

Im expecting our highest CINNE score to date. Id probably get the 2687 V2 for the higher core clock though tbf. Intel just sent me the 2697's and Im not really in a position to argue :p

Two of them cost 4450,07 £ in Denmark ! You will need to make a movie on them, some day "When the test and all that is done" :p

Madness is coming BIGTIME :D

I'd love to see a 2697 vs 2687w v2 dual socket review like the last one you did ;)
