The Atom's aren't all that quick, that's for sure. Clock for clock I found my Atom N270 1.6GHz to be a tad quicker than my Pentium M 1.5GHz CPU from '04. It does serve it's purpose though and power consumption figures are fantastic. By comparison, it's the prehistoric 945 chipset in these netbooks that consumed more power and heat.
Nice to see more Atoms added to the lineup!
