Integrated gpu being used through a discrete card

Hi guys I am going to be upgrading my mother board and cpu when ivy bridge is released if all goes to plan and will put my current motherboard and cpu in my parents computer rather then leave it lying around. The cpu is a 2600 and the motherboard is an ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe which has not got any video outputs on it, as I am not replacing my graphics card what is the best option for video out? For their purpose the integrated cpu graphics would be enough and their current computer has some little legacy pci card in it, can I run integrated graphics through that?

I don't think you can use the integrated through a discrete GPU. To use the integrated GPU on it's own you need to use the out puts on the board and disable the discrete GPU in the BIOS.

If you are using a discrete GPU then the IGP will be used to boost the discrete GPU but not run on it's own, it will run secondary to the discrete GPU using Lucid Virtu. The only way to use just the IGP is with a board with video outputs.

As I understant it, Lucid Virtu can only work with a discrete GPU and IGP if the MoBo has a video port and you use that for your screen. That would mean you can't do what you are asking.

As for the "little legacy PCI card" , I don't think you could use that either.
