Install Bluetooth driver?

Hello. Can someone please help me with installing a driver for my Bluetooth receiver?

Basically I use a Bluetooth module found in a MacBook Pro to give the best results when I'm in OS X (hackintosh). However, in windows it seems to get detected as a regular keyboard and mouse (or something), as opposed to a Bluetooth device. I have the driver (.exe) for it but how do I install it? If I run the driver software it doesn't detect the hardware. I read online that I probably need to manually point the hardware at the driver or something?

Can anyone help me with this please?

If i remember correctly, right click Computer -> Manage -> Device Manager -> find your hardware, double click it, go to driver tab and uninstall whatever driver it's using now. Then click update driver and browse my computer for driver.

I tried that but it doesn't work.

The device shows up as a "USB composite Device" in device manager. It always tells me it already has the best driver installed. But I know it doesn't!

Hmm...try Computer -> Manage -> Device Manager -> find your hardware, double click it, go to driver tab-> Update Driver -> Browse my computer for driver -> Let me pick from a list -> Have Disk and point it at the driver, and it should say the hardware name in that box, if not disable Show compatible hardware and find Apple -> Bluetooth.
That should force windows to install the driver you're giving it.

The chip is connected via USB internally in the MacBook. I have it connected via a 4 pin header in my PC. I just cant get windows to see it for what it is. I have a small circuit to drop the voltage to 3.3v (IIRC) which shouldn't effect anything signal wise as the device wants a lower voltage.

I had a problem similar with a harddrive and a dvd rw, you just need to do a registry hack and it should work fine, ill find a tutorial for you if you bear with me

Eff knows for win 8, the last reg hack i have done was on win xp :lol:

Use bootcamp drivers, that should sort it mate ... http://support.apple.com/downloads/#bootcamp

Nah that's where I got my drivers from. Somehow my PC is not detecting it.

I just tried it with a non branded Bluetooth dongle and it's doing the same thing. That is being detected as a Keyboard and mouse rather than a Bluetooth dongle (as far as I can tell).
