So there is this obnoxious guy at school. You know the typical kind of a$$, flaunts his parent's hard earned cash, cusses without any limit and for no reason, is dumb as hell, and is just plane old annoying, immature, and disrespectful. So I unfortunately was stuck in line with him and me being the resident computer expert was taken to for advice. Well, not really advice but he just wnated to show off that he's getting an AlienWare. Me, disliking him and all thought he should end up wasting money and gleefully encouraged him to purchase one and told him how reliable, quick, and cost effective they were.

I asked this guy what he knows about computers and he said plenty, so I asked him what type of ram his current machine uses and he told me 200gigs. He uses an HP lol..He doesn't even know what PCI-E is...he thinks the 7300 is the ebst card in the Nvidia lineup -.-'

To be honest, before they became popular they made some really impressive rigs, but even then the prices were close to melting point. IMO anyway.
 
Nothing wrong with an Alienware if you don't mind a fugly arse case and paying about $2k more than what you could build it for yourself.

They used to be stonkin' rigs. But then Dell bought them out...nuff said.
 
I think they were bad before Dell bought them out too. IMO they've always had overpriced computers, Dell is actually very good value IMO. (If not OCing or upgrading)
