IE 9

Not really a problem,just an irritation.When i boot my pc and Win 7 Ultimate is fully loaded up,i click the IE9 icon for the first time and it literaly takes 2-3 minutes for my home page to load up.It always loads instantly after that,it only hangs the first time from a boot up.I have Virgin Media L broadband.Any ideas would be appreciated

That doesn't sound right. Have you done any googling around? From what I hear IE9 is actually really good and optimized.

Have you tried just changing the home page? Maybe give that a try

Weird, might be a network issue where the network isn't ready yet and you quickly try to go on to the internet or you homepage could be causing the problem, try a different one.

Other than that, don't use IE9 lol - take your pick from: Chrome | Opera | FireFox

Try disabling some useless plug-ins. Happens to me sometimes with Firefox and almost always with IE9.

As much as I hate IE, 9 is apparently quite good. Toms Hardware even recommended it over the other browsers. Still use my trusty FF though

it is NOT IE9 but Virginmedia

i have the same homepage as you, and in both IE9 and FF4 is does take longer to load than other sites.

the reason is the f***king advertising they have all over the place (arrrgh!)

to fix this a little bit, some of the 'boxes' have an 'X' in the corner to delete them... delete the ones' you don't want (mine is bare minimum)

failing this, change your homepage to something simple (google)
