Looking for an i7 2600k and a guy on ebay offers an overclocked chip running an 5.1mhz. It would only cost like an extra £30 so this version so im wondering if you guys reckon it would be stable and it wouldn't get too hot- obv it would need to be well cooled. The i7 2600K is an extremely good overclocker...I've seen results of people overclocking to 5.7GHz. A lot of things that the guy as said on the ebay page are a bit of an over-exaggeration (to say the least), but it looks good to me.
EDIT: Just checked on OcUK, http://www.overclock...d=6&subcat=1859 - the chip is £248 from a trusted retailer. AND it doesnt void warranty if you overclock. Sorry, was wrong about that one! (AMD boy here

way too many volts. You couldnt run that 24/7

well you could if you just didnt care but you would end up needing a new chip after not that long

Don't bother, there not to hard to OC anyway and there is plenty of guides online.

Who’s up for one fried chip?
Eating some potato chips right now, but I don't think fried CPUs would taste good
I don't see why they advertise these clocks/volts for 24/7 use, that's just unresponsable, if you ask me.
