Hey guys and girls, a friend of mine has recently purchased an X58 build, primarily for engineering simulations (CFD, FEA, etc). He's having me over this coming weekend, so I can play around with it and squeeze some performance out of the 950. It's got a Scythe Mugen 2 on it I believe, so we're hoping for something within the region of 3.6-3.8 out of that chip.
Could anyone with 950 experience share their journey on this thread?
I'm not sure exactly what to expect, I'm more used to the 1155 platform, AMD 890FX and only recently 1156.
Ideally, I just need things to watch out for, and relevant voltages that could need adjustment (besides Vcore and VTT/QPI).
