Hi guys and girlies
I am going to update my rig to Haswell soon and I have never tried overclocking before and wanted to try.
I wanted to share my results and see if you have anything to comment or would adjust to better the overclock.
System Spec:
Intel i7 920 (D0) @ 3,8GHz
Asus P6T Deluxe V2
Noctua NH-D14
Corsair Dominator 12GB 1600MHz 8-8-8-24
Corsair Force 3 120GB (2x in raid 0, total 240GB )
Asus 580 GTX DCII
WD Black 2TB HDD
Corsair 500R with 5xNoctua Fans
CM Silent Pro 850w Modular Bronze

I got to a stable 3,8GHz with 1,25v Vcore
I tried 4GHz but failed with 1,275v
I didn't want to go much higher because I'm very happy with temps as is.
OC:
Vcore - 1,25v
BCLK - 200
Multi - 19
DRAM - 1600MHz
Timings - 8-8-8-24
UCLK - 3200MHz
QPI - 1,325v
HT off, C1E off, Speedstep off, LLC Enabled
Prime95 max heat for 1 hour: (Celsius)
Coretemp 71, 70, 68, 67
HWmonitor 67, 67, 64, 63

I doubt you will get much higher clocks with the voltages you're using. That's a good overclock for 1.25v in my book! :)

Thanks :)

I have since dropped the QPI to 1,250v
I will be using this as my everyday surfing and gaming OC.
Is there anything else I should look inn to or is this good enough for that?

When I feel I'm done with the CPU OC I will try to OC my Asus GTX 580.

Just noticed that you've turned Hyper Threading off. Is there any reason for that? You might lose up to 20% performance in multi-threaded applications doing that.

Firstly it's because 90% of my pc usage is gaming and web surfing.
Secondly it's for heat and stability when I overclocked.
I will try to enable it and do my game tests and see if it is better or worse.

hello nice overclock if you just game an safe the web leave it off,no need for it plus the heat Hyper Threading dont work in gaming or web safing at all,my oc was at 3.8 with Hyper Threading i turned it off an went too 4.1 ghz so some times it helps goodluck
