i7 8700k Cooler

I prefer the Fractal there myself but also am a fan of the NZXT X62, though there are others whom could advise better like ^^ALX.

If i changed out the fans for ones that are RGB would i reduce its overall effectiveness?

That depends on the fans :D If you get good RGB fans with good static pressure then yes, you would maintain the effectiveness. TBH I don't think the Fractal fans are anything to write home about, but they do the job :)

But yeah, I would try and avoid Thermaltake. I am not saying it just because Tom can't stand them it's more that they make shoddy products quality wise.

thank my friend for doing a little research for me, i will add those fans to my cart..

No problem mate. Do note that I'm not sure how these fans exactly work as far as RGB goes. I think Corsair has a 'Fan RGB controller' that you can control the RGB lighting with, so I'm not sure if and how it works without that.

Hey guys noob here... i posed the same question on another fourm and was told to stay away from liquid cooler and was recommended to get a scythe cooler that it would be just fine .. this one was recommended https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA9ZH59H0503&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleMKP-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleMKP-PC-_-pla-_-Accessories+-+General-_-9SIA9ZH59H0503&gclid=CjwKCAjw64bPBRApEiwAJhG-fvSRCrursHj-XrJB_y470daOotsT2KwylWTG-CFY4lrCdDKawGkX7RoC4asQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds .. i think they were trying to steer me away from liquid because of potential leaking .. i have no ideal about do the fail often? Whats your thoughts between the Scythe cooler vs water? Would the Mugen 5 be just fine for the i7 8700K .. I too plan to swap to Corsair HD120 fans.

TY for any help guys!

Well RGB fans on the AIO coolers are only good usually if you have your RAD on the front.

I have the Corsair 115i RGB AIO at the top but have 6 RGB fans , 3 x 120mm Corsair at front , 2 140mm Corsair at bottom and one 140mm at rear. Have the Commander Pro to control fan speed and colors. Can set them up so front fronts will change colour base on the GPU and the 3x 140mm will change temps based on the CPU temps. The Link software is one of the better bits of software that manufacturers make ( I say this because it works perfectly for me )

And with all that fresh air the temps of my H115i is great and thats with the quiest fans that it uses.

Negative is with 2 wires per fan and the units to plug into ..one for the LED and one for the fans it can be very messy even in the Corsair 740 cube case
