i7 4770k + z87 OC

Hi im new here, but im a bit lost and need sum1 to confirm if im doing good or bad so far.

So brand new System is :
i7 4770k
GA-z87x-ud3h
2x 4Gbs HyperX red
Silent Pro M2 850W
Seidon 120 WC (Its what i could afford after buying everything else, and for the mild oc i need i thought it should be enough)

So, I run stability tests at stock speeds over night and went with no problems.

So first thing in the morning went to the BIOS and set the multiplier to 44, ram mult to 1600, and Vcore to 1.175v. Thats all I did and booted normally.

My first question would be: Am I ok just changing those 3 things? Or can something go wrong just cuz I needed to change something else in the BIOS? the system is working fine at this point. Tested for 1h40mins with AIDA64 test and the standard IntelBurnTest.

Also, if everything is fine, should i keep going down in volts ? I mean Im really satisfied with 4.4 Ghz considering the cooling i have is not strong enough for more.

I know I should test for much longer times, but i wanna know if im on the right path before i keep going on with long stress test. Thanks for your time

Yeah thats a great guide, but still too direct and assumes im not the newb that I am. For ex. It starts adjusting stuff in the memory, and i dont want to do anything to it, doesnt really get into why that would help the cpu OC. I guess came to the wrong place for what I intend (A mild OC for gaming and streaming).

Thanks for your time, sorry to bother.

nah mate i don't think you understand. this is the way to do it properly, even for a low OC.
it's worth watching the whole video. everything gets explained in detail
after watching it you'll be able to answer your initial questions yourself, which is where you want to get
