i7 4770k overclocking problem!

ok plot twist! i contacted intel and the guy told me to run intel processor doagnostic tool and this is what it showed

Expected CPU Frequency is --> 3.50

Detected CPU Frequency is --> 3.49978

Did you try doing a full CMOS reset and seeing if it will at least get to 3.5GHz?

First off u are changing to much stuff at once, start slow. Also Ai tuner should be on manual and disable multicore enhancement thats just a couple things i seen to begin with. Also why would u turn off EIST?

I will try to help, how much stuff have u changed in your bios? Thinking we need to start from scratch, can u put everything to defaults. After that set up your boot priority and simple stuff like that after you are done with that we will overclock. Also what kind of oc are u wanting?

over, this is like my luckiest day! thank you! i owe you one, ok im reseting everything to default and reseting cmos ok and im a 3d animator and a hardcore gamer, so im constantly rendering stuff and playing games like bf4 and also the comp is only off when i sleep, sometimes not that either and i need something that can push the limits so something around 4.4 would be my need but im not the expert here so . . but 4.2 is my thing :d and again thanks a ton! you're a hero!

Well first thing to understand is Haswell can be a finnicky girl so this might take some time and patience.
1.AI overclock tuner set to manual
2.Asus multicore disable
3. cpu core ratio set to sync all
4.Set core ratio to 42 on all cores
5. set max and min core ratio to 36 (this is just till we find some stability)
6.Set DRAM frequency to 1600mhz
7.cpu core voltage set to manual
8. set voltage to 1.2
9. F10 save settings see if it will boot
10. if it boots run stress test
11. i prefer Rog Real bench or x-264
12. also use HWINFO64 to monitor temps and voltages
This should get u started

ok realbench is downloading, it booted up with no issues and the only thing that i changed from your first steps was set the dram to 1333MHz

Cool now run real bench about 10 passes or so and watch your temps. If it passes lower your cpu voltage till u crash then we will go up another multiplier
