Hi guys,

I have a budget of about $1350. I want I PC that I can game on and overclock.

So far I have decided on these parts. If you have any suggestions please feel free to leave them below.

CPU: i5 2500k

CPU Cooler: CM Hyper 212 Plus

Motherboard: Asus P8P67 EVO

GPU: MSI GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II/OC

RAM: [ Ripjaws-X ] F3-12800CL8D-4GBXM

Storage: 1* Western Digital Caviar Black 1tb (Sata 3)

PSU: Silverstone SST-ST75F-P Strider Plus - 750 Watt

Case: Cooler Master 690 II LITE Midi-Tower - Window Edition

Case Fans: 1* Xigmatek XLF-F1454 Blueline LED Fan 140mm (For roof) 1* Prolimatech BLUE VORTEX 140MM (for window)

CD Drive: I have one lying around at home...

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

The reason why I have selected such a large PSU is because I might put another GTX 560 in SLI later on down the line.

I am open to any suggestions so please feel free. Thanks

Nice little setup. That cooler will do for a moderate overclock, but if you're wanting to get alot more oomph outta your chip, i'd look into something a little better.

I'd change the cooler for the Noctua NH D14 if you can afford it.

i'd also change the MSI 560 for the Gigabyte 560 see

And i'd also get a Samsung Spinpoint F1 !TB instead of the Cavalier. (EDIT: the F3 not the F1

Apart from that all looks well.

Just be careful with the msi sli bridge its supossed to be defective. Look at KFA2 extreme OC or white edition or Gigabyte GTX560 superoverclock.

If your budget will allow it the gigabyte would be the better choice but the MSI Twin Frozr is a good card as well. Otherwise I'd be saying exactly the same as SieB.

Thanks guys... I am living in Switzerland and can't seem to find a spinpoint f1 unfortunately. I would go for the gigabyte 560 SOC but i'm afraid to say, I just cant stand the looks so i'm going to stay with the twin frozr. Sadly I don't think I can afford the noctua NH D14 but does anyone know whether the arctic cooling freezer 13 is better than the 212 plus?

also... adicool96, are you sure about this? Do you have an article? Anyway, I will have a 2 year bring-in warranty. If I haven't upgraded to SLI by then I probably never will.

can you get a samsung f3?

they are the best of those drives not the f1 as thats a much older drive now while the f3 has a much higher data density which makes it a faster drive.

Oops, yeah I meant what Marsey said, the F3 not the F1

I can't find any comparisons between the Artic cooling freezer and the Hyper 212 Plus but i'd say the Hyper 212 based on reputation.

OK.. thanks for the advise, can you recommend another good 80+ silver 750W power supply, or have I chosen a good one?

I would recommend the ones from the Corsair HX and AX series. Seasonic and Enermax do make good power supply aswell, however most of them are quite more expensive than the Corsair.
