First of all, just a quick hi, new member here

ive been trying to overclock my i3 540 setup on a fairly new machine.

Ive managed to get my core speed upto 3924 without any failures, but to do this ive had drop my DRAM multiplier to x3 (see cpu-z screenies)

If i increase this at all to x4 or higher (or even auto) the OC fails at bios!

Current bios settings are:

bclock @ 170 mhz

multiplier @ x23

dram multi @ x3

qpi multi @ auto

QPI/VTT @ 1.325

DRAM voltage @ 1.65

Anything im missing from a ram perspective?

If you're trying to get your RAM running at higher clocks and the multi breaks it have you tried raising BCLK?

Yeah ive tried raising bclk, but 174 seems to be the highest I can get it too before it falls over, but i still think thats because the memory keeps failing it

Worth throwing the mushkin out and going for something better?
