Give me a V8 in an American muscle car any day of the week and i'll eat ur little ricer for breakfast, muahahahaha!

Nah.....Japanese cars are the best made in the world (apart from Astin Martins and Rolls). They last a lifetime and look great. Smooth engines and very fast and efficient. I like the Civic Type-R and the Toyota Supra and Suburu Imprezza :worship:

I have to agree.

I do love muscle cars with the big gurgling engines but you can't beat a Jap car for reliability, and also for countries where it matters (UK), fuel economy to performance ratio.

Yeah I love the muscle cars that burble as you go past em....but they aren't practical for the UK with our high fuel rates and road tax and - most of all....corners!! Muscle cars just don't do corners :(

Bah im not talking from a reliability stand-point... I'm talking from uber-badass it goes way faster than rice burners stand-point :p

And i'm sure a Japanese engineered 6 Litre twin turbo would pee all over anything in existance. Its just they make their cars with a different audience in mind.

American way to do stuff:

1: Take stupidly huge engine (preferably from a truck or likewise oversized machine)

2: Don't tune it too much much get a decent amount of HP

3: Put it in a nice looking meaty chassis with not too great suspension

4: Voila - very fast loud powerful car that doen't take corners the best but is great fun and nice looking

Jap way to do it:

1: Get a nice small but efficient engine

2: Tune it till it screams for you to stop, then de-tune it till it will run for ever at that level. Still leave it stupidly powerful compared to CC

3: Put it in an efficient nice looking chassis to suit whatever task you want

4: Voila fast, nice-looking powerful and efficient car

:)

Yup.

Japs rely on technology, research and testing to sell their cars.

Americans rely on "make something big, and americans will buy it" to sell their cars.

Not only the japs can kick ass either - UK can too.

Take a look at my sig....thats a Escort RS200 - capable of 0-60 in 2.1 seconds from only a 2L engine. I'm sure that would piss over some of that american muscle ;)

oh, no no no...the car in my avatar is not a Cossie...nor is it mine.

Its an Escort RS200 Evo, designed for rally, but also put into production for a short while.

It got banned from rally for being too fast!

The fastest car in my family is a Celica GT4 currently doing 0-60 in the low 4sec's
