I recently applied for a course in Digital Media Computing.

And i just had an interview today, the guy says he will be happy to take me on board :D

I have an induction in 2 weeks, and the course starts in January.

Also i will be getting payed £30 a week to go, get all my travel expenses payed and its only 4 days a week (2full days + 2half days) so i will get a part time job as well.

This means I will be getting about 120 pounds a week. (not bad for a 16 year old in education)

I will have my i7-920 - 4870 CF - WC in no time! :D

:rocker::rocker::rocker:

120 quid a week :o Wooh I wish I could get that (I currently get €400/month, and with the current market values that doesn't even touch 100 GBP/week).

Congratulations on your acceptation :)

:), nice one college is so cool, you meet some great people there. Enjoy it whilst it lasts.

Right now I'm at college, doing some Advanced Database for a company lol.

Grats!

Thanks all! :D

But what i got from the interviewers is that there wont be many people at this course..

Its in the highlands of Scotland.. Not exactly computer central XD

A little worried as my sisters are turning 18 in Jan, and I'm gonna be 16 in Feb.

Are they are still at school!

Im going to be on a course with 18-25 year olds. A LITTLE nerve racking! :s

When I started this Foundation Degree I was the youngest on it (17) and everyone else was between 19 and late 20's but it felt good knowing that I havent wasted any time in life unlike other people on my course who are almost 10 years older than me and no further forward.

You should enjoy it matey.

Quote of the week :D.

I had just turned 16 when I first started, was crazily scared but I had friends from school there too. The interview was a bit weird since noone who was there, I knew. I got there the first day and there was all my mates waiting lol.

Just fun fun fun, plus you can get a lot of more work done with no mates, the amount of time I have had to move lol.

Dont worry about the age. I'm in college at the mo, in a class of 16 - 50+ year olds [Im 16] and i still managed to find some good mates :P

What level you studying at if you dont mind me asking?

Congrats mate,

I was on a computer sciences course at 16 with people in their 20's. Doesn't matter how old some people are they're still kids, to this day being 24 nearly i refuse to grow up properly and i sit behind a desk as an IT manager with minions. Just enjoy it whilst your there :).
