If you have an intel based mobo, that boasts xfire ability, and says nothing about sli etc.. (and u know for a fact sli isn`t in the design consideration)
Is it purely software that prevents the use of sli on that system ? or is there something on the hardware level that the mobo may be lacking ?
Guess what I`m saying here is that, with some-kind of software massaging, chipset driver-wize perhaps, would these same xfire boards do sli ?
Add to that with previous `hacked` or hybrid drivers they used to get sli working on the series 7 and below b4 nvidia encrypted the communication.- but there was nothing addition hardware-wize u needed - afaik.
Of course having the necessary chipset driver would be fundamental.
