HP LP2475w or Dell Dell UltraSharp U2410

I am looking to buy a high quality IPS monitor and I have narrowed down my choices to either the HP LP2475w or the Dell UltraSharp U2410. Both of these are very highly rated and they have decent response times/input lag. I want to know your guys' opinions on which is the better choice.

I'm also open to any suggestions on any alternative IPS monitors. Thanks in advance.

i think yassarikhan is looking for a higher end monitor. i would go for the Dell, just because i have been looking at it for myself, and it seems to be more well known as a good monitor and more people recommend it

I was personally swaying towards the dell myself as I think it looks more aesthetically pleasing and is on par with or better in terms of screen quality, when compared with the HP (from what I've read). I just wanted

some opinions from the oc3d community to make sure I choose the best monitor.

LOL, nice trick question. The winner is Dell. The Ultrasharp monitors are about as good as you are going to get, the price is decent too.

Why not the one Tom reviewed a few days ago.Given a oc3d gold,i would consider it myself.

That's a good monitor, but its not IPS (its TN), and the image quality is appreciably lower than pretty much all the IPS panels. And then the Dell is a pretty damn good IPS panel ahah

TN is useful for gaming (that's why I have one

), but if image quality is what you want then IPS for sure is the way to go. 6ms response time means you shouldn't see any ghosting during gaming either anyway

Thanks Ya93sin. I think I'm gunna go for the Dell then.

Hmm, those are the exact same keyboard and mouse I ordered

You're gonna love it haha

I read quite a few reviews on the g510 and it was highly rated on most of the reviews I read. Bit-tech gave it an 8/10, hardwareheaven gave it a gold and a performance award and vortez gave it a gold award as well.

I ordered the g510 and razer mouse from overclockers and it should arrive tomorrow. Can't wait to open them and try them out

I got mine from Overclcokers as well heheh, the mouse is great for any games as well

Yeh, and the blue light from the mouse will match the blue light setting on the g510.

Have you got the fan controller installed on your case, or have you just ordered it? I'm asking because I bought the scythe kaze master and want to know how other fan controllers peform.

I'm ordering it when I get back from holiday. Its rated pretty well though, plus I need touch screen as my case door leaves like no room for any switches

That's too bad. Touch is still good. I saw your Rig gallery, it looks awesome with the very neat cable management. My cable management is O.K, but not as good as yours, since I'm a noob. How many systems have you built?

I've taken a fair few apart (dad's old ones

), but that was the first I've built from scratch.

Recently I've mostly had laptops, and the PC I did have was pre-assembled (I upgraded GPU on it though).

Cable management is very time consuming, but worth it

When I get the fan controller I'm going to see if I can do some more
