How To Officially Fix The nVidia Driver Color Issue....

...during playback.

Symptom's: Discolored (WAY too bright, over-emphasized colours, or WAY to dark, under-emphasized colours.) While viewing any non-3D video. Ex. Game cutscenes, DVD's, any video file, TV Tuner's, etc.

Solution:

1. Right click the Desktop, and click Properties.

2. Go to the Settings tab.

3. Click Advanced.

4. Click the tab with the model of your video card on it.

The screen should look like this.

5. Click Color Correction , on the left menu.

6. Under, "Apply Color Changes To", select, "All."

7. Under, "Color Profile," select, "Advanced mode."

8. Press, "Apply."

Now your video should look normal! :)
 
good guide. I had this issue and i didn't have to go advanced i just adjusted something and then pressed default settings so everything comes back good :D

Yeah you don't have to do advanced, here's the actual thing from nVidia:

I just turned off hardware acceleration on my videos because i got fed up with the over-bright dvds/videos on my screen.

Major reppage coming your way ;)
 
Nice one Nick, and great additional alternative method enVias. Would love to be a fly on the wall when you get the big "Frenchy" from Jim :D

Hehe...no probs mate.

Just do the route EnVias pointed out and it fixes the stupid bug straight away. :D
