So i have 8gb of ram and a kingston HyperX 120GB ssd, i can"t turn pagefile off because i never restart my pc, i have like 50 applications running all the time and 20 google chrome tabs + on top off that i like playing battlefield 3 that sucks memory like hell. So if i turn pagefile off memory gets full and my applications stop working because i turned off memory warnings in windows. Now if i put pagefile on my hard drive battlefield starts lagging a lot because it cant reach data fast enough. If pagefile is on ssd it all runs fine but battlefield fills my memory to 90% and starts using pagefile A LOT! What i end up with is 30GB of write on my ssd a day. Yesterday before playing my ram was at 60%, and ssd write in last 24 hours 10GB, i start battlefield, ram goes up to 90%, after an hour of playing i have 22GB of write on my ssd! if a played a few hours it would get over 40. So my question is how do i make my system not use pagefile that much. Making pagefile smalled doesn"t really work. i tried 1-2GB but that happend. Now i"m trying out 512-512MB combination. Also can put some pf on my ssd and some on my hdd so ssd pf is used only when crucial?
