How to connect my 4 fans to my H100

Hello. I recently bought 4 Noctua NF-F12 fans to use in Push-Pull with my H100.

I'm a little unsure how to connect the fans. Should I connect all fans to the H100? Or should I connect them to the motherboard, or to the PSU?

The fans have a max RPM of 1500, but in the bios it says that they are running at 2000 RPM when connected to the H100.

Thanks for all the answers.

If it were me, i'd hook them up via molex but use the low noise adapters. Unless you don't find them a little too noisy, like I do.

Ok. Molex is directly to the PSU, right? You hook them onto one of the cables from the PSU, and you can connect multiple molex' over each other, right?

I'm pretty unexperienced, just so you know.

I have 2 vipers on my H100 but they have 4 pin connectors and can't connect it straight to the psu, so it's powered by the mobo. is that wrong?

I dont do it that way. Also means if you put all the cables behind the mobo tray its tidier.

Just make sure you get a nice ballence between temps and noise.

If you use Noctua NF-F12's later on they come with fan speed reducer cables too so youll have an option of speed / temps

Yeah, I have the same problem as Elder_scrol. All my fans are 4-pin, and all my molex' are 3-pin. I guess I'll just have to connect all fans to the H100 so they all work at the same speed. So far there has been no problem, and the temps are fine. Noise is not a problem, as the comptuer is in another room.

Thanks for all the answers.

3-pins will engage 4-pin harness. the only difference is the source wire that won't be used.

the H100 is only for the corsair fans and have limited functionality on other fan types due

to the figured resistances. Tom and Josh said it bestess.. plump direct PSU power to fans

and under-volt (or a fan controller.. ewww) to performance and audio content.

r there any adaptors to connect a pwm fan (4-pin) to a 4-pin molex?

I have all 4 fans hooked up to my H100 and love it. The problem with hooking them up to a molex is you have no control over there speed unless hooked to a manual fan controller (which in turn will not use a molex). I prefer them to be plugged into my H100 and having it the lowest settings that way it is ultra quiet and if needed it will manually ramp up the speed. Or you could hook them up to the mobo if you have a good fan controller like FanXpert from ASUS.

or use resistors to undervolt the fan power. noctua recomends using a resistor

per fan and not one for the four fans.
