How steam payed for my computer!

So yea does Steam really have a support team. i have submitted 5 (FIVE) tickets over a 4 week period and i have yet to get a response. But that is just one of the problems!

Another problem you probably have dealt with is getting a game from them and not having it work, i had that happen with Crysis, Crysis warhead, and Stalker. and believe me i did EVERYTHING i could to get these things to work again, from re-install all the way to fixing the games registry. Steam consistently insists that it is my computer and they will take 0 i repeat ZERO responsibility for the game. So i demanded my money back, and what do they do they say "contact the developer of that games support," (BTW its not the developers responsibly of the game if it doesn't work from steam), the developer will also just tell you to contact steam support. so basically a screw you, you aint getting nothing back.

So i went further, MUCH further. i took steam to court in demand for my money back as well as a settlement. to prove my point i bought the day before Crysis, Crysis warhead, and Stalker, (DISC BASED) AND a fresh 500gb hdd of which a fresh install of windows 7 would be installed on from best buy. i installed all three DISC based games in the court room and to steams amazement they worked on my computer. i then showed the judge and the boobs at steam that there game also installed in the court room did NOT work. Steam version would crash or not even start. the games i got from BBUY the day before ran like a dream. to add insult to injury i showed the judge all the stupid support/moderator responses i got to help resolve my issue.

after, Steam refunded all my money we agreed on a $1400 cash settlement for pretty much waisting my time, which bought me my RIG.

Thank you steam and SH!##% service.

and how much the did the court fees charge and all costs

Valve foot the bill because they were how you would say the "LOOSERS." they pretty much just gave up and didn't bother to fight me on it. the whole session with installing software and proving myself in court was about 45min. its easy to sue here in the US. and since i had a tort and reasonable case i found a attorney that specialized in fraud. mainly website fraud from major companies.

You did well mate, I've had issues with Steam games crashing before, but in my case it turned out that Games for Windows Live was cocking it up, so an easy fix.

I've never been to court though, I'd have loved to watch Valve squirm
