Hi chaps

just got my Nvidia 6800 Ultra & decided to give some benchmarking a go with 3dmark2001

First run at stock was just under 25000. :D

installed powerstrip and ran again with increased clock speed from 425 to 430 and that turned out to be slower. so upped memory and that cameback even slower than before..

What I am doing wrong??

Help

Is it throttling? get riva tuner and see if the clock speeds reduce during a 3d marks run using he hardware log.

found how to overclock, but all that happens is when I get to 425/1100 is that the benchmarks start to slow down. :(

I'm having the same thing with my 5950U. Mines on water with a Maze 4 and I can get 590/1100 on it but it starts to loose 3D marks which is annoying. Any help on this also would be good.

Cheers

One thing I would say, are the ForceWare drivers the latest ones? I upgraded to the latest ones before and that sorted it out for about another 2k for me, tried this time didn't seem to make that much diff.

am using the latest drivers dloaded from Nvidia..

Can you send me the links and tools so that I can flash my card.

Its a Point of View 6800 Ultra

I would do it from DOS just to be sure. Less graphics are in use in DOS so less likely to booger up any Windows type things where a blue screen is seen before the computer can be seen exiting the nearest window followed closely by the words 'BLOODY MICROSOFT CRAP!!!' ;)
