How much does quality and speed of Ram affect Rendering ?

Im thinking getting this - TeamGroup Vulcan GOLD 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-17100C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit (TLYD316G2133HC11ADC01) x2 so in total 32GB @2133Mhz

Costing total of -£259.90

My question do I need all that for rendering or having more RAM/speeds affect encoding in general ? for Codec X.264 ?

Any advice on this would be awesome kinda I want to buy the rest of my computer today only need 3 things hehe so if I can save something its a plus in my books

Curtis out.

I think HDD (think RAID or SSDs) or a more powerful CPU will make more of a difference, but it probably very much depends on how much your software will actually utilise RAM/cores etc.

What software are you using, and what are the rest of your PC specs?

Ram doesnt affect it that much, as long as you have lots of headroom ram for the scene you are rendering, the speed of your ram might make a few minutes difference. 1333 would bottleneck and wouldnt have noticable difference over 1600 or 2133 mhz.

Im not sure about the brand but ram is ram at the end of the day. It will do the job and give you headroom so it is more stable. A higher end GPU may even help but again only by minutes.

Okay thanks for the help ill stick to what I have I think that setup will do the job nicely, the ram I found a review on the overclock3d website so id thought why not personally would just got for corsair,G-skill or something.

But the build im trying to pull off is a golden and black theme so these will looks pretty nice maybe haha.
