I have my 3500+ at 2.6 stable on air. I had it at 2.7 stable for a while but then I got a new bios and I couldn't quite get it there again.

keep going until it gets unstable and then knock up the voltage until it is stable again. repeat the process until your full load temp is around 50 and then stop:)

What he said tbh :D

EDIT: Apart from no more than 1.55v on air cooling

Is'nt 50° on air quite hot? Don't forget the "inside" of cpu gets much hotter than the outer area where the thermal diode is located.

50 is fine as long as thermal throttling isnt on

my temps for the cpu are core not case temps

nobody was implying that mate, 50*C case temp would be very very very bad lol, he meant that the temp where the CPUs' temp sensor is lower than the internal temp of the die / actual chip and so is not a 100% accurate reading, either way i wouldnt worry as the diff will only be 1/2 degrees

If your chip is cappable of that FSB id knock it down a little and put the multi at x10.

Im sitting here @ 270x10 on my 3200 atm @ 1.55v. And my temperatue probe shows my waterblock not exciding 33 under load, so 35/6 core temp, i would think youd have a fair bit of headroom before that 50zone on air.

What cooler do you have?

yea i thought that after i looked at the pic and figured it mustve been AM2 but looking now its not. 260x10 should be totally fine

thanks for the help

did briefly run it 280x10 but backed it down, dont want to push any furhter till i get a new cooler, seeing as this on a stock cooler

i got my 3400+ to 2.5ghz on stock, before it hit 60degrees :( so i turned it back down again :P

water cooling kit should be coming soon, so back up it goes !

just wondering tho, i heard that watercooling should not exceed 42 degrees?

and 55degrees on air

is that right ?

Should not exced no. Will keep around perhaps.

temp boundires are just that, no matter whan cooling your on.
