I'm hoping I'm not the only one hyped about this... Honestly the best space series to date. Its also nice that Gearbox have done alot to it (see text below). I'm getting the collectors edition

I never usually get boxed/collectors editions of anything but I think this is the one time that this will be the exception

I will quite happily slap down $100 for the top-end of this product. Without even thinking about it. I spent countless hours forming up fleets on this game. True 3d Space combat. Amazeballs!!

I remember editing something to give me unlimited numbers of ships, I got it down to 9 FPS there were that many ^_^

I remember not being able to play it until my dad got his new hyper powerful workstation. god that thing was a tank.
Honestly Homeworld 2 has aged really well. Like stupidly well. I'm very happy to pay full price for the $100 collectors edition. As opposed to my normal collector's edition acquirement method, which is to buy it from my local GAME store 9 months down the line

So.. it's out, it arrived, it's gorgeous!! Anyone else pick it up? I actually ended up with 2 keys for my copy, one that came in the box and one Amazon sent as a 'sorry it's gonna be late' even though it arrived on time. So I have a buddy downloading it now as well. Epiiic

Plays a little lastnight, it's lush!!

My only complaints thus far is the occasional sound glitch and that it uses 99% of my GPU maxed out at 1080p. Vram usage is also 2.3GB. Its not because its unoptimized, just intensive so I can't complain.

Yeah I've noticed some weird screwery with the sound, and yeah I got the full Collectors edition, it's boodiful

I wholeheartedly recommend it if you're in to RTS games. Homeworld was a great series and this really shows the core mechanics are still pretty much the best you can get. Its not a bad looking game either. It even comes with the classic textures, so you can run it on very low performance PCs as well. Atleast in theory.

Its the only space RTS I can think of that is truly 3d as well.

for the cash, you're getting a lot of well written, excellently narrated campaign and then the ability make space armadas at your beck and call
