Can I get 360 degree surround sound quality, if I connect a Home Theater to Desktop Computer?

For a Desktop Computer:
(as there are no good quality computer speaker for 7.1 or 7.2 system)
want to create 7.1 or 7.2 digital surround sound system

for Movie(50%) >Acoustic or Fusion Music(10%) and 3D Gaming(40%)
for that purpose, need to buy:

1. Sound Card (ASUS and Auzentech, not a big fan for createve sound card)
2. Speaker or Home theater system(is there any chance to take 5.1 system+2.1 system to make it 7.2)
3. Receiver (if needed)
4. others

As to the sound card Auzentech make some nice sound cards but their after sales support is a little lacking so go with a good quality Asus card with DTS support, as to speakers and receiver an idea of what you want to spend would help.

Price not a matter (also i cant afford BOSE performance level: So lower than that:-> U can say Moderate to High; not too high)

I have looked at this in the past and found that it would cost in the region of £1000 to do properly. You could make a system for less but I found the trade off in audio quality made the whole endeavor not worth it for me.

It seems that home cinema audio (and video for that matter i.e. projector) is one of those things you either go all out on or not bother with ( in my opinion anyway ). Of course if you can afford it i'm sure it would be amazing. In terms of sound card the high end ASUS ones are the ones to look at as has been mentioned above.

Take a look at Yamaha Amp or if you can afford it a Denon amp with some Klipsch speakers or if the Klips are too expensive Yamaha speakers are good too, other good brand speakers are Dahli or Accusound. Other good amps are Mirantz or Onkyo.

In terms of soundcard the Xonar D2X and Xonar HDAV 1.3 are both very good and can output 7.1, which one you gets depends on if you want HDMI or not.

In terms of the rest you are going to need a receiver and the speakers, this is going to require a ton of research to be honest. I have linked to a very nice 5.1 system below, which should give you a good starting point for the sort of thing to look for. Just keep checking for compatibility between all your components. 1.Is it for Connection to Home theater only?

I want both connection:
a) Computer speaker

The HDMI allows you to take the output from your graphics card (video + audio) and put that into the sound card. This way you can process the audio to produce 7.1 but also pass the video through so that you get a single output that has the video and the audio processed by the sound card.

I'm not sure what you mean there. A good speaker is a good speaker, you just need the 7 individual speakers and a sub. At least the front two should be bigger units but the others you can get away with smaller satellite ones. None of them will be specifically designed for Desktop PC because of the space they require in a room and the fact that not many people do this. You are essentially making a home cinema system but replacing the video/audio source with your PC.

Like I said before it requires a lot of research to get right. The system I linked you to before has some nice speakers in it and there are plenty of reviews out there, you will just need to spend some time looking.

I'd suggest forgetting about 7.1. 7.1 systems require alot of setting up to get the most out of them. At a minimum you would need your own measuring equipment to measure frquency response so that you know you have the speakers in an optimised position. Not to mention 7.1 systems are often alot more expensive and less readily available.

And unless you want to waste your money stay away from BOSE. They're not bad speakers, just incredibly over priced.

As i am in (Kolkata) INDIA so loving KEF and Harmon Kardon: others are not available

But i want add that: I want wired system not wireless

also I want to connect it from computer: First choice
