Nice find.

It's all well & good increasing the storage capacity that a single drive can hold, but I see no mention of the drive speed or data read rates. There's also no mention of interface either so I can only presume it will be S-ATA II.

Maybe when i'm old 'n grey i'll be able to afford one & find out for myself

Nothing wrong with Hitachi drives. I've owned about 6 and all have been 100% fine. Maxtor on the other hand...
