Here's what you need to run Microsoft Flight Simulator

Ohhh man, I'm going to relish the hell out of this when it launches!

I just hope they've optimized it better than FSX, even on my current system that can chug like mad.

32GB memory. So it begins... This is the title that'll start a new trend of 16GB not being enough

I'm guessing that everyone will be fine with 16GB. I can see higher amounts of DRAM becoming more common after the release of the new console, but it will take a while for us to need over 16GB.

Most games that recommend 16GB only use 10-12GB.

Yes but gotta start somewhere!

I can see this game using a lot more than 16GB though. All that real-time data and seamless no-loading world will really benefit from more memory. Reduce the strain on your internet speeds and streaming pipeline from the HDD/SSD.

I am already considering going to 32gb because of Star Citizen, which happily eats 13gb away in a really short time, so yeah this might be the title that gets people to upgrade more and more.

I've been wanting to upgrade my RAM anyway, so this is a good excuse to jump up to 32GB. I've been waiting for this game to get started with flight sims. It'll be fun to use my HOTAS for more than just Elite.

My last computer upgrade included 32GB of RAM as I was hitting 16GB of used RAM far too often. Heck, at the moment I am currently using 10.5GB of RAM and I am not running any games or memory intensive programs (beyond Chrome). If I started up a game like BFV then I would be experiencing a lot of memory churn as Windows makes space for it (if I only had 16GB still)...

Well, when I bought my new 9900K rig last year deciding on 16GB or 32GB was a no brainer,TBH.

1. It was relatively cheap (£150) & RAM prices can sky rocket in a very short amount of time.

2. As night follows day, 32GB will be needed at some point.
