1) 1.5 gb = no dual channel and 2T timings which isnt worth it imho but if you want then go ahead. Try only putting two rams in and ocing it.

2) Get the latest bios .

3) Max Async = 8ns ( for 2 modules ) / 9ns ( for three modules )

4) Idle Cycle Limit = 256

5) Twr = 2

6) Twtr = 2

7) Trtw = 3

8) Trrd = 3

Hope this helps . Its actually the 1.5gb thats really hurting you. Either get 2 gb or go down to 1 gb .

Yeah I waited for |3ourne as he's the expert on this thing.

But I was going to say that the extra 512mb will stop you OC'ing as much. The memory controller does not like it ;)

yea i'm hoping to get 2gb around xmas, another 512mb.. but for the time being i do alot of photoshop stuff, and fear, and bf2 and suchlike tend to love me more when i put the other stick in, so i'll try takin it out and see how things go :)

cheers for the help |3ourne

ok i got asus update, and it's says something about the NT registry service error?

and then says i don't have an ASUS motherboard, then it quits... ?

winflash says the bin file isn't a bios rom or something :(

on a side note running 1GB it's now 285 1:1 :D 3 4 4 8

Mate thats pretty loose timings!

Try tightening your timings please check This guide and tighten them mate. Run memtest86+ to get it tighter (as in this guide)

Remember ur RAM doesn't like more than 2.9v as its TCCD :)

Getting there tho :)

ok, having tested it in bf2 it's jumpy as hell lol 1gb really isn't enough for that game, i'll stick to 1.5 :( untill xmas hopefully then i shall pick up where i left off :( sahme cuz i got 290 stable now

actually corsair has trouble running tight timings like gskill and ocz can. try 2.5-4-4-8. Asus also doesnt have enough bios tweaks needed to get the max out of the ram. So 285 is an encouraging move. Do not expect ur 2 gb to run that fast though . You might have to disable bank interleaving to get beyond 260 mhz with 2gb , not to mention 2T timings.

@Kempez : I have seen TCCD with 3.1V pumping through it without any problems. It depends on individual rams. Gskill and ocz tend to have a comfort level of 2.6V - 2.8V . Patriots on the other hand wont oc worth shit till u put 2.9V thru them. Geil likes 2.8 so does corsair.

righty ho :) cheers 3|ourne, i really apreciate the help :) btw those numbers on myn that are REALLY high like 24 or somthing? on A64 tweak? shud they be that high?
