[Help] Possible faulty Ram Dim

Ralm

Hi Guys,

I bought my computer very recently. And the shop gave me temporarily the wrong memories ( G.Skill PI) and I had those for 1 week, no problems I notice.

Yesterday I end up at the store to trade the memories for the ones I ask at the beguining. And Ive been having some problems with it.

What I have as Computer is:

Asus P6X58D-E

Core i7 970

EVGA GTX560 Ti SC

Crosair AX850W

WD Black 1002FAEX

CoolerMaster Haf-X

And as memory the G-skill Ripjaw Triple channel DDR3 1600Mhz 8-8-8-24 (2x3Gb)

And my problem is that sometimes the windows detects only 4GB instead of 6Gb, and sometimes he detects the 6Gb correctly. The Bios the same, sometimes detects usable memory as 4Gb others as 6Gb.

CPU-Z detects ALLWAYS 6Gbs.

I run MemTest86 3 pass, 1st and 3tr no errors, but at the second pass in 7th test I got an error.

And here is my CPU-Z Info:

My Computer is not overcloked in any way. For Ram settings Im using XMP profile.

Any tips

The Ram is rated for 1.6V

you can see all details here:

http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=235

And I have news about it.

After I did that I boot the computer on and now it says at My Computer Properties that I have 6GBs of Ram, 4.99Gb Usable:

Check the pic:

This is very annoying since the shop got the wrong kit at the beguining that they borow me for a week, and now I got the kit I wanted and is faulty as it looks.

Any other ways I can test the Ram?? Does anyone have sure if I can install only 1 stick to test separately?? Im worried since My motherboard mever talks about 1 sticks only ( on instalation manual) only for Dual-Channel ( wich runs stable, dont know about errors) and Triple or more sticks.

Thx all.
