HELP Please! Quiet+Performance Fan Setup On Corsair Obsidian

Howdy all!

For the past few days I have been racking my brains over selecting the right fans for my new case. I am looking at achieving a Semi Silent PC that can be turned up with a Fan controller into performance mode when needed. As of right now one of the problems I am having is selecting the proper fans, understanding what fans to use on what parts of the case.

Currently these are the Parts I plan to acquire in order to achieve this:

FAN controller: Scythe Kaze Server 5.25IN 4 Channel

What do you guys think of this controller any good, I need a controller that alows me to instantly switch between quiet mode and performance mode with the push of a button, rather than having to manually turn the knob each time, can this controller do this, if not what do you recommend

Fan for OCZ VENDETTA 2 Heatsink:

Scythe S-Flex G or SCYTHE SLIP STREAM SY122512SH

(Was also Thinking "Gentle Typhoon", not sure if Static Pressure is big issue here)

Here is Diagram which Illustrates the Air Flow in my case as well as the Fan locations

At the Top of my case there is 3x120mm fan holes

I am not really sure what fans to use here, I was thinking to use Scythe SlipStreams since they have a good CFM to noise ratio. Not sure weather to get the SH or M version. Also since the Slipstreams are sleeve bearings I was told they are not good mounted horizontally. IF not the SlipStrems i was then thinking of using the S-flex G's, would this be a good or better choice?

Now Here is what Intend to do

As you can see I plan to reverse the fan on the rear exhaust in order to draw fresh Air into the CPU-Heatsink . I assume since I will have 3 fans sucking at the top that this should not be an issue since the hot air exhausting out of the Heatsink would be sucked up immediately by the 3 Top fans.

Near the bottom of the case is a 140mm fan used to suck fresh cold air into the case.

I need to replace the Factory stock fan since it's too weak. I was planning on using a Kazemaru 2 Wide Blade Bearing 1200RPM fan or maybe even a Noctua 140mm. Any Suggestions on a good versatile 140mm fan.

If anybody has any suggestions or recommendations they would be greatly appreciated.

I would use Nidec Gentle Typhoon 1450RPM for the CPU Cooler. Any intake fan, Nidec Gentle Typhoon 1450RPM. As for the back vertical fan, use an Scythe SlipStream, and, for the top fans, use Nidec Gentle Typhoon 1450RPM too.

SlipStream works bad in horizontal position, and, static pressure is needed for CPU Cooler (air needs to pass through the fins and that need pressure), and intake fans need pressure too (even more if they have dust filters).

For the rest, GT are probably the greatest silence/performance fans in the market, and at a great price (yes, they're better than Noctua's fans, NF-P12, etc.).

You Need to watch my YouTube video reviews of this case dude, you need to add intakes on the case, the easiest way is to turn the rear exhaust into an intake.]

That's exactly what I did in the picture I posted :)

OMG!!!! LOL your that guy, Bro 4 days prior to posting here I watched that video on youtube. Funny how in the vast, complex inter-web it can be such a small world.

By the way Nice Job on the Video keep up the good work, i look forward to your furture Video Reviews.

SEE Originally I was set on the Gentle Typhoon 15's since I was all paranoid about static pressure and noise etc..Then I posted this thread on another forum and instead they told me that Typhoons are not need for the the 3 top exhausts(claiming that static pressure is not high enough for them). Also they said that the Vendetta 2 does not need typhoons either (cause it has open space in the fins) and that I would be better off using S-FLEX G's since they move more air and are quiet when undervolted with a controller. So as you can see this is why I have become even more confused. Nobody agrees on anything.

The back intake on this case uses a filter which means the fan will have to suck air from it in a tight space, so I am not sure Slipstream would be good for that, wouldn't typhoon be better? Then again I know shit about modern day PC fans, my Old fans are from 2001(Panaflo's). Oh and those Typhoons sound and look Sexy.

Please help me Understand guys i am really stressed out here. I need the proper fans for this setup, ones that are able to produce high "CFM to NOISE ratio" but also can be quit when turned down on controller. This is why I was going to get Typhoons but many told me they are more suited for radiators and certain type of Headsink's like Meghalem etc..
