Just tried to turn my comp on and prommy gets to -35 start temp. lights and fans kick on for maybe 1 second then shut off (pc lights and fans) then the prommy shuts down about 20 seconds later. Tried it again and this time the comp doesnt even try to kick on. Motherboard light on and nothing changed. (worked fine yesterday, no hardware changes) I get double yellow lights on the back of the mach II gt when it reaches the start temp and nothing happens with the computer. any ideas??

Re-check all your motherbaord connections and the one that provides the power on signal from teh mach to the PC (blue and white cable from teh mach).

Cheers

ok mav..long time no speak by the way! I will check the wires but I have not moved it opened anything or changed anything at all from its last working state yesterday. I just noticed that ben posted a problem identical to mine except his was doing it from day one...mines been working great and just now did it. By the way, what do the double amber lights mean? Cant find my manual atm.

CRAP CRAP CRAP! I just took the side panel off and there is a little condesation on the black plastic outer housing. (where you seal string the two screws that clamp the head to the mobo) it has been rather hot here today. What do you think...am I screwed?

not happy right now. Just tried to start it again and this is the second time the pc didnt try to turn on. It tried only once which means something happened to it the first time which wont allow it to turn on again. maybe a fried motherboard...Im not sure. going to have to rip it apart and see. If it was the processor that got fried the computer should still start and post right? I really sealed the head on the processor good and filled the cpu socket with silicone grease...also did that to the back side under the heater. Any suggestions would be great right now...

Hey BOA, Gorgot to say welcome back!!

Just pull it apart, take seal string off, take the cpu out the socket (leaving the socket open) and let it dry out in the airing cupboard for a day - try again.

Should not be fried, could be but not usually the way - if it is then 95% of the time its the mobo not the CPU.
