I can't fulfil this urge inside me. It constantly eats away at me telling me to upgrade my rig.

Only there isn't really anything worth upgrading to. I almost bought, and still might, buy a pair of 3870's just because...

As I see it my graphics card is the weakest part of my rig, i'm happy with everything else, well, my HDD are a little noisy so maybe. No. Stop it!

What the hell can I buy or do with my rig that might be worth it? I'm going to explode waiting for the next gen cards to arrive!

An ultra is hardly any better than an OC'd GTX... Not worth it. A GTX is, well i'm not 100% but it's not that much better than the GT but costs £300? Maybe I can find a 2nd hand one...

Don't really want a 2nd rig, don't want a phase, quite like the idea of a pot and some dice and ln2 though but I guess I'd need a seperate rig for that as ripping mine apart all the time would be a pita.

cod4 was too short. That kept me quiet for a while lol.

If u wanna get in to dice and the likes then you should look at getting a professional hardware bench and some spare parts completely seperate from your main rig. As you stated it would be a 100% complete PITA to rip down your rig every time you wanted to do some subzero runs.

I wouldn't bother with the 3870's, you'll only regret it when whoever's next gen is out next

I keep changing my mind re the CF, the IQ on them is awesome and it will perform better than a single GT and won't really cost much.

Kemp - I reckon I can sell the 38's for a small loss (pay 140 per card now and sell for 120 in a month or so, maybe 110, doesn't bother me) and pick up the bad boy next gen, or you think I should wait even now? Just been playing crysis and its not good!

I have these same urges, only thing that stops me is lack of cash.. But when i have the cash, it gets spent.. Ide say get some speakers unless you already got nice ones.. A new little something that is relatively cheap to bide you over and keep you busy, if you w/c ide suggest a Res or something similar

Only thing stopping me buying new CPU, Mobo and watercooling is my Vegas holiday I gotta book in the next couple of weeks... Sucks... Watercooling is coming regardless after xmas

i wana spend big bucks on speakers, but it turns out im not gonna get them (so sad pat!!)

the uni dorm rooms i saw were way WAY to small for anything of that power. so im just gonna be getting Sennheiser HD595 headphones
