Help me build my new encoding$ gaming pc

Thanks soo much guys... About the ram I need to find some that I can pick up in Europe. Never heard or saw those that NBD posted before.

How important is it that I aim at 2400 Mhz ram ?

If you put your location on then we can instantly help you baseed on where you live:)

2400mhz is worthless, stick with 2133mhz and all is good!

Done ;)

All the low profile 32gb 2400-2133 mhz ram that I find in the online shops around here is from Geil.

The vengence series from Corsair looks low profile aswell but as far as I can tell only 16gb kits are availiable.

For two Titans Seasonic 1000 Platinum is best way and enough for 3 Titans and full case of everything.
I look on clip when man OC 3x7970 and 3960X OC 1300W and
Seasonic 1000 XP work like on 500W, 12V and 5V rail stable...
Both PSU are excellent but Seasonic 1000 is maybe today best PSU on world.
Only cables are.... Ahhh I can't look that.

If they are 2x8gb sticks then buy two sets of them for a total of 32gb, the vengence ram from corsair that have tall spikes are not low profile, get the one with a plan cover:)

As for the cables on the psu, i just recieved my seasonic a few months ago and the cables are all flat and black:)

Yea I saw the PSU and the cables and I cant complain...As long as they are "coverd in cloth" (and i can hide and tuck them away nicely) im happy and from the pictures I saw it seams as they are.

Also Im not building a display case. I picked a case without a window. Its important that it looks clean and in order when i open the case but thats about it.

I would prefer to stay away from water at the time beeing...Maybe I will change to water cooling at some point in the future but not just yet.

For the most part it's not really necessary these days, especially for CPU cooling. You don't get all that much better overclocks on water than with a very good air cooler (e.g. the Noctua you have).

As a side note though, GPU temps will drop massively when you put them under water. They are specified and designed to run at high temps of course, but you can get some improved overclocks out of a GPU on water while at the same time have lower temps.

But the Titan's stock cooler is very good (not extremely loud for its performance) for a GPU air heatsink, so as long as you don't want a very silent system you will be perfectly fine on air.

And even on full power your desired system will be absolutely tolerable.

Thanks neighbour ;) At the time beeing I only need to find some low profile low latency ram and decide wich Titan card i want to pick up.

Hehe, that's what neighbours are for :)

Since I'm not exactly up to speed on the Austrian IT market I've found this kit at caseking. However, it is CL10 and not CL9, and I have no idea how good Geil is as a brand (not a fan of the brand name, but it is distinctive, I'll give'em that  ).

I haven't been able to find any CL9 kits meeting the criteria mentioned further up in this thread.

Happy hunting.

Thanks alot ;) I have been looking at the exactly same kit at exactly the same shop as you mentioned ;) But as you I never heard of Geil before and Im not really sure if i should go for it ot not. If you know a good shop from your country let me know about it... Shops usualy dont have a problem with sending stuff around Europe if enuff money is in play.

Try them out and see if you like them, if everyone only buys from the same people the market won't grow. Someone has got to take one for the team i suppose lol

Actually, caseking is quite a large reseller afaik. I think they serve as a middle man for quite a few retailers over Europe. However, I still agree with that statement. Monopolies are not good in the long run.

One of the shops I buy from (pchc) actually uses caseking for their watercooling parts (and possibly other components as well), so while most of the things are not in stock with them, within a few days practically everything can be had.

Most of the time I order from digitec though, since they have a large inventory themselves. If what I want is in stock, I have it the next day. They are probably one of the largest PC component retailers in Switzerland (possibly the largest). I don't know if they ship abroad, but in general I've been satisfied with their service.

PCHC I've only discovered recently, and I've been very satisfied so far. They're not very large (I think it's mostly one guy), but he's always been quick to resolve any problems I've had or respond to inquiries.

I once got the wrong product delivered and he promptly responded, ordered the correct one from caseking and offered to pay the postal fee to send back the wrong product (digitec did not do that a few years back when the same thing happened). Since I'm of the opinion that mistakes are inevitable, what matters to me is how they're handled once they happen, and his actions in this case were satisfactory.

He's also done partial deliveries when XSPC had serious delays on their end without any additional cost. Since he's based near St. Gallen he might possibly do exports to Austria, being so close to the border and all. But the pragmatic thing might be to order directly from caseking, since he will do that anyway. For me, it's more about supporting the little guy and reducing paperwork and processing/VAT fees compared to a direct import.

But in all honesty, finding a retailer in Switzerland who will do abroad shipments might be tricky since we're not in the EU, despite our multiple trade agreements. It can't hurt to ask of course.
