I've had bad experiences with cheap cases though. I'd never recommend someone spending under about 35 quid on a case, £50 if they can even push it that far.
As for the RAM...as you say...meh. Wont give too much benefit, but i'd still recommend spending a little more and getting 1600. even if it's mushkin silverline

I just think that, for now, all money should be spent solely on performance gains. 1600MHz RAM is only really the sweet spot because it's usually the same price as 1333MHz - the RAM I put up is a great deal for 8GB of RAM
