help choosing a cpu cooler

Hi I wonder if anyone can help me i managed to pick up a Asus rampage II extreme motherboard and 12gb corsair vengeance (not the low profile) ddr3 1600mhz memory pretty cheap off a well known auction site. I was hoping to fit a D14 onto the board, but realise that i will now have issues with the D14 fitting over the Ram which according to the corsair specs measures in at 52.5mm. The case i'll be using will be the antec 902 v3 and i need suggestions as to which cpu cooler will fit i want to stay with air cooled if possible although i know i can go with one of the corsair hydro series if all else fails any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as i'm at a loss has to which one will fit.

I have had the following in my case which is very similar to yours -

Cooler Master V8

Zalman CNPS10X Extreme

The zalman is the best for cooling out of the two but slightly Louder...

Make sure you stick in your ram before mounting the coolers..

Yup, Excalabur50 made a good suggestion. I definitely think this cooler is a great one as well. You may also look into the Noctua NH-U12P SE2, which is a tower cooler and should not have any problems with RAM clearance.

thanks for your help everybody have looked into all the options suggested and looks like the NZXT Havik 140 is the way to go although am i the only one who thinks the fans look ugly? lol i guess i'm too used to the old school shape of the fans such as with the D14

You're most welcome. I think they look alright, but yes they may not look appealing to some people. It's definitely personal preference though. But if you think about it, it gets the job done very well for its price. I think it's a nice alternative to a lot of the coolers out there right now.

Hey guys i was looking for exactly that cooler as i have RAM clearance problems with the noctua and vengeance heatsinks. To mount this with is the best to go with Noctua NT-H1???
