[HELP] Busted MoBo ?

Hey,

I'm somewhat of a beginner builder and I put a rig together consisting of the following components :

Phenom II x4 955 (c2)

Corsair Dominator GT 4GB kit (2 sticks) 1600MHz cl7

Asus M4A89GTD Pro

Gigabyte Radeon 6870

WD Caviar Black 500GB Sata III

Corsair 650TX PSU

So here's the deal, it normally takes a couple of tries to get the rig up and running.

When you press the power button it just kind of doesn't start up... The MoBo MEM OK led stats flashing and thats it... Eventually after giving it several tries it does fire up and makes the beep sound, tells me to enter setup since overclocking failed and so on. However sometimes it just wont start for several hours...

Seeing as the MEM OK led is flashing I thaught it could be the ram, but I was originally running a 2GB corsair dominator kit 2GB 1800MHz cl7, and now bought some dominator GT's (the 4GB kit) (with an AMD phenom II sticker on it

so I'm pretty sure it's got nothing to do with the memory.

I can't imagine what else it might be... honestly I'm out of ideas...

Another symptom if it helps anyone the CPU auto set voltage is 1,3x V and a while ago even when it started up it'd freeze at the starting windows screen, bumping it up to 1,5V seemed to fix that issue.

Everything but the CPU is just a couple of months old.

Please help, and I apologise for anything stupid I said in the text above, like said I'm not much of a pro. Same goes for any spelling mistakes.

Thanks in advance.

Happened to me once, my problem was the graphics card with it in it wouldnt boot 95% of the time but with it out it was ok so i would try that. and have you tried booting with only one DIMM

Asus website diagnosed it to my RAM modules. Said to remove all the components from the mobo and then check for POST sound signals coming from the chassis speaker, one long and two short. Once I put the RAM modules back in it went back to 0 POST sound signals. So supposedly my

CM3X1024-1800C7D (2 GB kit) AND my CMG4GX3M2B1600C7 (4 GB kit)are both incompatible with the M4A89GTD pro, awesomness or what ? Suspiciously enough I did have the PC running about a hundred or so times up till today.
