I am AlienALX and I come from the South Coast. I found this site and forum whilst looking for reviews of the 5770 in Crossfire. I too have 5770s in Crossfire and was basically boosting my ego by reading about just how great they are
I have just recently (since July 2008) gotten back into PC gaming and all of the ins and outs for the first time since the Athlon XP and Radeon 9800. Long story, I won't bore you with it but I am really enjoying the latest wave of hardware (DX11 in particular, very exciting stuff !).
I currently own two Alienwares. I have a black ALX system (built myself) and a Silver system (used for media and older games so I can be lazy and lay on my bed).
Here they are.
This is the inside of the ALX. It has changed recently and I now have two fans on the Notcua.
And here is the inside of the silver one.
Specs are -
Alienware ALX (the black one).
Phenom 2 X4 940 @ 3.6ghz
OCZ and Patriot DDR2 (3gb) @ 800mhz
AsrockAliveXfire3.0 Crossfire 480x board (eee was only £30 lol)
Corsair X32 SSD running Windows 7 professional.
500gb Seagate Baracuda for data and games.
Sony BDR
NEC DVDRW
Radeon 5770 in Crossfire
Netgear wireless card
Noctua 92uf or something 92mm cooler with dual fans
Arctic fans throughout
Silverstone MP media panel thingermebub.
Hipro 750W PSU.
Alienware Aurora (the silver one)
Sempron 140 (soon to be replaced with a Phenom 9950)
2gb Corsair DDR2 800mhz
Asus Crosshair 2 ROG SLI motherboard
2x 250gb Seagate Baracudas in Raid 0
Lite on DVDRW
Nvidia 8600 GTS in SLI
Corsair H50c liquid cooling (rebranded Asetek LCLC)

Alienware 80+ psu 750w.
I know it's a really odd spec but 90% of it was used from leftover parts. The Asus Crosshair was SLI and I wanted ATI and the Corsair H50 was not a good idea with Crossfire as it blocks airflow out the back. It's great for my media PC though as it's lovely and quiet
I also have one of these winging its way to me from the states. Should be here by the end of the week.
