I'm from the UK, and built my 'budget' gaming PC about 9 months ago:
Gigabyte 970A-UD3
Phenom II x4 960T (<--- amazing little processor)
4GB 1333 DDR3 Ram.
HD 4870
OCZ MXSP 600w
paired with a 22inch monitor and it all came in at just short (like small change) of £400
Last week though, a combination of me wanting to upgrade and my better half wanting a Desktop instead of a small, slow Intel Atom Notebook I now run:
i5-3570K (Stock Speed with 4.2ghz Turbo) + CM Hyper 212 Evo
8GB 1600mhz Kingston HyperX LoVo RAM
Z77X-D3H Motherboard
HD 4870 (soon to have Arctic Cooling Twin Turbo II Pro cooler)
OCZ MXSP 600w

XFX ProSeries 550w Core Edition
Future upgrades include a HD 7870 / GTX 660Ti, and maybe a H100 or similar cooler, but extreme Overclocks are not needed..
I'm new to Overclocking on Intel (about a week) but my 4.2 OC is IBT stable, and the 960T Phenom OC's to 4.2ghz x4 and 3.9ghz x6 given that I use the 212 Evo which is now on my i5.
I do have a few questions on certain things but thats for the other threads...
Anyway.. Hello to everyone who reads, and hopefully I can help a few people out on the forums as well as being helped myself....
I do GFX using Photoshop so expect to see a few cool graphics for my signatures
