Hey guys!
My name's Ed, I'm 22 and I'm from Lithuania, been watching TTL for a while, but never bothered coming to the forums until now. I was into computers for as long as I can remember, I did as much as my funds let me, which wasn't a lot, but I managed. I built my first serious rig back in late 09 and am still using it and upgrading it as I go.
Specs:
AMD Phenom II X4 965BE @stock
Asus m4a79xtd EVO motherboard
2GB of Patriot 1333mhz + 4GB of Kingston 1333mhz
850W Chieftec PSU
2x XFX Radeon 4890 in CrossfireX
OCZ Vertex 4 128GB SSD
4 hard drives from 300GB to 2TB
all in a case for £15
Being a student doesn't make it easy building a good rig
It had the 2GB stick of RAM at first, then I bought another 4GB later on, the second 4890 was also added about 6 months ago and just bought the SSD a month ago^_^ With a fresh install of Windows 7 it's a vast improvement over my HDD. Have an assortment of hard drives since I need the storage and can't afford to sell my old drives and buy new ones, so there are actually 4 in my rig right now + the SSD. After installing the second graphics card I could no longer have my hard drives where they should have been since there was no space, so I chopped the case and made my own hard drive rack out of aluminium, cut out the old and bolted in the new one. I just can't afford a proper case, so I make due with what I have
